Did The Original Created Trees In The Garden Of Eden Have Rings?

The chronology of the Holy Bible from creation to present has been accepted by many to be somewhere near 6,000 years. However there are certain gaps which are unclear and thereby leaves room for slightly more time, yet most scholars believe this to be 10,000 years at the outside. There are many things which have been discovered which point to more age than this. Creationists accept that as fact. However, those items with such evidence, only show that God created every thing stated in Genesis chapter 2, full grown and fully functional.

Man was grown and capable of making intelligent decisions. The stars which excite the atheist mind since there are some which are billions of light years away and yet, their light already reaches the earth. In order for the earth to sustain life and function as God intended, it had to have these things in place from the beginning. The different lives of radioactive materials had to be balanced in order not to destroy life. The light and magnetic fields, gravitational influence and so on had to be in place to avoid catastrophic atmosphere conditions.

So if the trees were created fully grown, did they have rings in them to fool man as to their age? Of course nothing was created to fool men. We cannot prove whether or not the trees had rings to begin with. If the other factors of the creation were as is supposed, this writer must presume that they did not have rings, not because God created them that way to fool anyone.

By studying closely the dendrochronology of trees, which is “the purpose of tree rings”, it can give some strange insight. The rings were not put there to tell men the age of trees, although under most circumstances, trees do create 1 ring of softer wood and another ring or more dense and harder, tougher wood each year. During the warmer seasons, the wood grows in softer and less dense than in cold seasons when it grows tightly and forms a hard strong ring which gives it added strength.

Where seasons are mild and temperatures more uniform year round, the rings may still appear but with much less difference in appearance and strength. The model accepted for the earths atmosphere by most creationist scholars in the beginning, is that the climate was virtually uniform throughout the earth and the year. This would indicate that the growth of the first trees would not have shown semi-annual rings. However, their original creation may have contained rings for added strength. But whether or not, God would have had his reasons for the original design and he had the ability to create it either way.

In trees which grow now, each year they add a new soft ring and dense ring. The dense one serves the purpose of strengthening the tree, and as it gets larger, it also gets stronger and more capable of withstanding strong winds which it’s size would necessitate more strength since it’s leaf formation would cause much additional stress from the winds. God would have known the need of the original trees and would have added rings or a more dense wood throughout, if it were needed.

Did Adam or Eve have bellybuttons?

When we finally meet, likely on the Other Side, you will laugh hard at that silly roadmap text you put so much logical, literal credence and (misplaced) faith in!

Then, and only then, it clearly appears, you will surely finally know that The Truth, was down a long hall and somewhere else than in that ancient Hebrew text..

Love and hugs to you, for Christmas' sakes, nonetheless.

A True Believer,

Paul

Paul, Paul, You say things like that but you never give any reason that you believe that way. The materials you have referenced to me from time to time, just don't impress me. I have no reason to believe the writings you refer to are inspired or anything else.

I hope you had a great holiday, though you don't believe in Christmas...but then neither do I. I don't celebrate it at all. Thanks for reading and commenting

Paul, I've read your articles and all I see is that you place your weird dreams and your personal ideas over all the evidences which show the bible to be a factual and accurate group of writings. I'm not saying that Jacobs Ladder was any more than a dream, that is what it says it is. And neither are your nightmares. I cherish your friendship, for one reason because you are Jewish and I have a fondness for their seemingly inherent straight forward honesty. But I do not buy into your spacemen who haunt you constantly. I have a nightmare every now and then.

I was once kicking an intruder who was breaking in our house and I kicked the front off the window air conditioner and hurt my toe.. But I never accused an alien of shoving his way into our house. You and I live in two different worlds.

I hope that someday you will repent of your biblical ridicule. You are not only making fun of some 3 billion people, many of which are your own. The bible can stand on it's own truths but it doesn't mention any of your abductors.

Do you really believe the Earth is only 10,000 years old!? Seriously?

Thanks for reading Jack, and I do indeed believe the earth is only 10,000 years old and there are numerous facts to back it up. If God could create this universe from nothing, what is so strange that he could put all factors together so as to function as it does? The scientists agree that it would not have supported life in it's original state (as they see it). But besides that, their effort to measure time as they have always done, filled with error. They don't have a clue. I can't possibly get all the information into a single or a dozen articles, but it is certainly there, and by scientists who are not on public grants.
