Russia Or Russian News Media Seems Obsessed With WW3 Prospects

There are some four sources of Russian news (in English) which seems to have at least one article warning of a possible world war 3 in the offing every time I visit them. It may be primarily one writer however, since he has connections with three of the four news agencies.
I find a story this day which those three sources have the same article published by this man, Timothy Bancroft-Hinchey. His own bio states that he is director of the Pravda.ru, Portuguese version, the Moscow Top News, and may be the owner and publisher of the Russian Sentry. The Russian Sentry appears to be simply an online archive of his highly anti-American articles. He also seems to be even more anti-Hillary Clinton than anti-American.
With nuclear missile technology what it is today, the next war could very well be the world's last. As it becomes clear that the Pentagon/NATO is intrinsically linked to the AIPAC/State Department axis, as it becomes clear that the USA and its allies have long since ceased to follow the law, it would appear that we are sliding towards disaster.
In the forthcoming election in the USA, the people have a choice to vet out those who pose a direct threat to the future of humankind by bringing foreign policy and clear commitments towards this, into the political agenda. One thing is certain: Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are not fit to serve. They are a danger to their country, they are a danger to humankind.
I am not a fan of either Barack Obama, or Hillary Clinton, but it makes me angry when some fellow writes out of pure hatred towards us as Americans and for no other reason. They, who have abused humanity in various places and times, have the audacity to write so scurrilously about us is difficult to smile about.
The article begins it’s raves with the incident of 911, inferring that we have taken all sorts of liberties because of that incident, to carry on a crusade to lasso the resources of the Asian countries, naming the “illegal” invasion of Iraq as well as the invasion of Afghanistan even though there has been no proof of connection with Kabul and the incident. He then names everything we have done or begun, as further steps to control the world’s resources.
It appears that his primary complaint at this time has to do with Iran, where he accuses us of clandestine operations to uproot the present government and stop their development of nuclear energy, since they have assured us was for peaceful purposes. (After that remark, I expected him to try and sell us a seashore plot in Arizona).
But then he gets to the warning part. And he begins it with this bold assertion:
For once and for all, let us get the story straight. The Soviet Union did not "collapse", it dissolved voluntarily, as catered for in its constitution because a new political, economic and social cycle had begun with different players and vectors and those in Government considered that the old model had succeeded in achieving what it set out to do, namely bring medieval societies into the front line of social, industrial and economic development, providing excellent public services free of charge. (Ibid)
That is simply a lie. Russia tried with all their might to hang on to those sovereign nations in the union and nothing stopped them except their fear of our nuclear superiority.
He then reminds us of the military power whose bluff we are calling. the CSTO and SCO Organizations, covering the Russian Federation, the Peoples Republic of China and Central Asia, and which he describes as “mostly defensive”.
His article is rather long and I cannot afford to copy too much of it into my article, so I suggest that those who have an interest in it, to read it here: http://www.moscowtopnews.com/?area=postView&id=2377
My own assessment of our present situation is that some of the things this man says have merit. We have entered into an era where we have successfully tied our own hands behind our backs. We can no longer win a war. Wars should not be entered into lightly, but when we are forced to fight, we need to stop playing and win the war. Our wars that we are now waging were entered into justly, but to go in and fight for endless years slaughtering many innocents and also many of our own troops is foolishness.
The U.S. was criticized by many when the atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan. It was indeed a horrible thing. But it stopped the killing in that war which had taken millions of lives of several nations military and untold numbers of innocent civilians. Nations now have the capacity to destroy the world. These weapons should never be used, however, they should be held as a deterrent to aggression. We have the capabilities to produce small, relatively clean, nuclear weapons, and the means to pinpoint the delivery of them.
Most countries could control the radical terrorists within their own nations, and should be held accountable for not doing so. There are far too many bleeding hearts who oppose killing or torture of anyone, regardless of what they may have done. This type of attitude is be best thing to assure there will always continue to be criminals and terrorists who will maim and destroy others lives while we dare not touch them. There are times when compassion and sympathy are needed, but there needs to be a limit on such.
