The amazing revelation of the God of the Bible covers Him from the creation story of the universe and man. Yet it was not written until some 2550 A.M. (Anno Mundi-the year if the earth). This revelation was given Moses, that a full recording of the creation and history of man throughout the period known as the Patriarchal Dispensation. The ages when God had revealed himself to man by visions, dreams and direct oral communications. Moses was used as the writer for God in issuing a new and detailed law for the Israelite nation to follow until the coming of the savior, the Son Of God, Jesus Christ some 1500 years in the future.

The writing of these books revealing God, detailed His rules and commands for His people. They have been ridiculed, criticized and denied throughout these thirty five centuries and many efforts have been made to destroy them, along with subsequent writings revealed by inspiration of God, all to no avail. Not one word has been proven to be in error. All of this is amazing proof of the existence of God and proof that he is the only God of the universe. These sound like rash statements, but they are true. We want to compare this majestic God with other Gods recorded ages ago to show the extreme differences in faith in a true God to that of superstitious beliefs in imaginary gods.

One of the main gods of Greek mythology was Zeus. He is even mentioned in Homer’s The Iliad. Zeus was the son of Cronus and Rhea. Cronus had fathered a bunch of offspring, but he swallowed each one immediately after their birth. But when Zeus was born, Rhea wrapped a rock in swaddling clothes and gave it to Cronus, who quickly swallowed it. Rhea then took Zeus to Mount Ida in Crete and hid him in a cave. There are numerous stories of how he was raised from that point. One, says he was raised by Gaia, another by a goat named Amalthea, another by nymph named Adamanthea, still another by a nymph named Cynosura, and yet another by Melissa, who nursed him with goat's-milk and honey.

When he became an adult, he forced his father Cronus to disgorge the rock he had swallowed followed by each of his siblings which he had swallowed.

There are somewhat similar stories of mythology of the Romans, and the Hellenists retained much of the Greek religions with some variations.

Norse mythology comes from the countries of Germany, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Denmark and the Faroe Islands, especially during the age of the Vikings.

Even the biblical record names some of the pagan religions and gods/goddesses encountered during New Testament times. The apostle Paul ran into difficulties in Asia concerning the goddess Diana. The story can be read in the 19th chapter of Acts. The problems arose when those who made the brazen idols of Diana realized that their income would be damaged if Paul’s preaching continued to draw people away from the false goddess.

In addition to the fact that these myths were recognizable as being false, there were no evidences to the contrary. The wild stories behind them had no prophecies of their coming, no evidence that they accomplished the feats that were credited to them. The writers of the Old and New Testaments were fully aware of the impotence of those gods and goddesses and they made every attempt possible to steer people away from them. Yet those who were supposed to be following after the living God were constantly moving away from him and bowing down to some brass or golden image.

Never, before, during or since those days, has anything even closely resembling the inspired writings been found. This accumulated group of writings became acceptable to more people than any other writing, or god, or goddess throughout history.

The only book, or God, whose message explains man existence, his purpose for being here and his destiny after this life. It makes sense from Genesis one, through Revelation twenty-two. No other writing, or even god/goddess has ever made such an attempt. Even our most brilliant scientists, many of whom have spent their lives trying to disprove the Holy Bible, cannot begin to answer the otherwise unanswered questions of the origin of time, matter, life, or explain gravity, an organized universe, instinct, DNA, and the lists go on and on. Many things are mentioned in this book which could never have been known in the writers time. A simple example is that a rabbit chews their cud…re-chews portions of what they have originally swallowed. Leviticus chapter 11. Also see Wikipedia “Rabbit”.
