What I Love About SearchWarp

I have been writing in some manner or another on the internet for approximately 12 years. In the beginning I began publishing my own religious ezine and continued that until 2008. It was published and mailed only to those who subscribed and never gained over about 175-200 readers. In the meantime I began writing for a few other publishers here and there, and finally found and tried writing for SearchWarp. My first article was published on SearchWarp on 07/09/2007. After four years, that one has only received 621 page views, however, it did fairly well in the short term. My next one has now pulled 6,611, with 4,043 search engines referrals. Those two, at least, got my attention. And as the years have passed, I have written for several other publishers, but not very many articles combined.

My best drawing article and continues to draw has, as of today , had 35,502 readers. By far, more than my 8 years of ezine publishing, and all of my other articles published by others, combined. Also as of today, this is my article 1,021 for SearchWarp, Webgazine, WorldWideBibleStudies, and My Pet Tale combined.

So now that I have strutted around with my thumbs pushing out my seams on either side of my chest (?) (I once had one of those, oh well…the seams down under my armpits). I will tell you the answer to my title.

I recognized early on that SearchWarp offered an excellent place for good exposure and the possibility of becoming fairly well read. That has proven to be correct. I would really like to know just what the total readers of all of those 1,021 articles would be. But I haven’t the patience to add them all up.

I also learned quickly that Bruce was an outstanding fellow to work for. He was able to convince me that he truly had his writers best interests at heart. I still believe that. It was months before I finally learned that Jean was his wife. I then wondered how such a thug could get such a pretty lady! Not really, Bruce. You don’t remind me of a thug. Both have proven themselves to be kind and thoughtful. They, and possibly some other helpers, have always very courteously straightened out my errors, boo-boos and so on, like double posting an article and even not being able to log in once. If their several thousands of authors were close to being the pest that I am, I suspect they would have closed the doors long ago.

Another thing I learned to appreciate was that Bruce is genius when it comes to programming web sites. SearchWarp, and it’s mini-sites are undoubtedly the most user friendly publishing sites that are on the web.

And, one thing that I, and my wife, thank Bruce and Jean for, is furnishing me the opportunity to have something to occupy my mind over these years of retirement. I have never been an avid TV watcher, not an outdoorsman, combine those features with being a poor conversationalist and you have a coffee drinker with nothing to do at home but grumble about the errands I have to perform for her. So I have my own private junk room office with my favorite cat, where I can work mostly undisturbed, except when Nadine has garbage to be taken out, or my cat, Tillie, in a surge of passion, jumps up on my desk and walks on my keyboard asking to be rubbed.

I am content, Nadine is content, and Tillie is content. All because of SearchWarp! I hope the very best for the Horsts, the SearchWarp family of writers and the continued resurgence of SearchWarp.

Ah, Joel. For years you have been the poster-child of the type of person that we want to serve. I hope we've done so adequately, though there is so much more Jean and I were hoping to do.

I'd like to point out that of all the 'core writers' on SearchWarp, you have probably had the most commercial success of any. Hopefully this winter as things cool down, you'll benefit directly from this. (Edenpure, anyone?)

I've learned so much from you over the years. I hope the future allows me to repay the favor.
