FBI Press Release: Three Siblings Now On Most Wanted List For Bank Robbery, More

On August 2, shortly after 12:00 noon, three people entered the Certus Bank in Valdosta Georgia, two of which had firearms. One weapon is reported to have been an AK47 type assault rifle and the other an automatic pistol. Both fired a few rounds into the ceiling and ordered everyone to get down. The unarmed person gathered up money and they then left the building. They were seen leaving in what witnesses described as an older model white 4-door sedan.

Earlier that day, a Zephyrhills, Florida police officer was in pursuit of a white sedan for exceeding the speed limit when the occupants began firing at him and subsequently, disabled his patrol car. It is believed the occupants were the same trio who robbed the above mentioned bank. The officer was not injured.

Then on August 4, 2011, United States Magistrate, Middle District of Georgia in Macon, Georgia, issued warrants for the arrest of Lee Grace Dougherty, Ryan Edward Dougherty, and Dylan Dougherty Stanley for the crime of armed bank robbery. When captured, they may also be charged with attempted murder of a police officer.

The FBI issued a warning that the three are armed and dangerous. They also reminded that at this moment, they are only suspects and will remain so until convicted in a court of law.
