Pondering A Futuristic Conquering Of Energy Shortages

There seems to be a surge in efforts to find some source of clean, renewable, affordable energy. As most people know by now the pursuit of this phenomena, has been elusive. There are sources which can offer the first two requirements, but the costs are prohibitive.

There is at least a partial solution which may be possible. I have noticed that a number of people are installing their own solar and/or wind generators of electricity. The installation is, of course, expensive, yet the result is extremely enticing. When one is operable and if of sufficient size for ample production, any excess can be directed into the regular electrical lines of the large electric producing companies, for which they are required to pay you.

It would appear that some program could be initiated which would encourage those with adequate financial means to join in this effort and install their own energy producing source.

And while they were at it, consider building an oversized one which could produce a sizable amount of excess, back to the power companies. This would afford income enough so the individual could recoup his investment and at the same time, lessen the need for the power company’s production from means that pollute.

We realize that this would take a massive effort in order to show a meaningful lowering of our present energy sources. If nothing more, some of the huge companies themselves should consider installing some of these as an investment.

It is obvious that, to build acres of “wind farms” would take a massive investment, as would adequate amounts of solar installations. But the individual route could be shared by numerous companies and individuals. Perhaps they would never be able to replace nearly all of the present needs, but if one-fourth to one-half could be accomplished, it would be better than what is now available.

Combine the above thoughts with the possibility of the coming electronic age for home schooling via computers, shopping by electronic set-up as I proposed in a recent article, (The Technological Age: Is Utopia becoming achievable? swa708307). Place that in the above search engine and read the article. It is becoming quite clear that remarkable changes are coming to the U.S. if it can remain a leader and gain control of its finances again. If not, changes just as drastic may become real, only bad instead of good.

In the past six decades or so, since World War 2 ended, this country has progressed in the area of technology by 100 fold. Compared to today, the times were near primitive in many areas. There is little reason to feel this trend will not continue. But while technology has blossomed, so has immorality. The lack of morals and ethics in this nation, can put a stop, not only to technological growth, but to health, comfort and safety as well. It should be everyone’s prayer that we will come to our senses and help restore some semblance of Godliness to this country.

Excellent article, and good warning. We actually can get energy from so many places, but the morality part is not like turning on the tap.

Good article, Joel. I agree with you and it is an excellent suggestion. Regarding immorality? We are losing our sense of shame and decency. And, the consequences are tragic.

There is no shame anymore, Nancy, I can remember well when I was shocked to hear mention of immorality on a TV show. But now you can watch it. Thank you for reading and your comment.
