Although the Great Pyramid is, by far, the largest of the Egyptian pyramids, that is not at all the sole reason for it’s mind boggling wonders. The method of construction of any of the pyramids has baffled people for years, but this monstrosity is beyond simply baffling.
It is very obvious that each of the pyramids were built at the order of some ancient king as an for his monumental resting place at the time of his death. The Great Pyramid is also presumed to be the same but it has no inscription or other means of identifying who or what it was for. Observe some of these features.

There have been found 67 pyramids in Egypt, but the Great Pyramid is the oldest and the largest of the lot. The others not only are smaller in size but none have the quality of workmanship as this one. They are thought to have been built simply as copies of the first one.

Once inside the structure, there is a broad way that leads to a pit, and a narrow way which leads to the King’s chamber. The description reminds one of the description given by Jesus in Matthew 7.
There are 153 steps which is the exact number of fishes caught in the draught by Peter in John 21:11.
Inside the king’s chamber is an empty carved red granite tomb the exact dimensions of the ark of the covenant.
Originally the pyramid was covered with 144,000 polished casing stones which are now largely missing, having been stolen away for building purpose. Those that remain intact, these thousands of years later are of such precision that many of the seams cannot be seen nor can a piece of paper be inserted between them.
Now listen to some of he staggering descriptions of it size. Many say it could not be built today. It is 90 times the volume of the Chicago Sears tower. Napoleon once remarked (although probably without proof) that there was enough stone in the pyramid to build a ten foot high fence completely around France.
Some 400 feet up, near the top, there are stones which weigh 70 tons! The foundation itself covers over 13 acres and experts say that it could not be constructed with such precision today, it has less then 1/10 inch error over the entire 13 acres!
It is said that if every locomotive in the entire world were harnessed to the pyramid, they could not budge it. The door was fitted so precisely that it was undetectable for centuries.
According to Europa.com, a slab of paving asphalt eight feet wide and four inches thick, reaching from San Francisco to New York, could fit into this pyramid. Below are a few quotes from others concerning this gigantic structure.
While the bulk of the Pyramid's core was constructed of 4,000- to 40,000-pound blocks of soft limestone, the outer layer of the Pyramid was made of a beautifully bright, protective layer of polished stone. These outer "casing stones" are missing today because about 600 years ago they were stolen by Arabs, (This accounts for the very worn appearance of the Pyramid today, since the inner limestone blocks are not immune to attack by the elements-wind, rain, and sandstorm.) This protective covering was made up of 100-inch-thick, 20-ton block of hard, white limestone, similar to marble but superior in hardness and in durability against the elements. (The Great Pyramid-Europa.com)
Like 20th century bridge designs, the Pyramid's cornerstones have balls and sockets built into them. Several football fields long, the Pyramid is subject to expansion and contraction movements from heat and cold, as well as earthquakes, settling, and other such phenomena. After 4,600 years it's structure would have been significantly damaged without such construction (Ibid)
The labor involved in building such an enormous structure is mind boggling. Although many of the scholars who have studied this, estimate that it was 10-20 years in construction, it seems impossible they could have accomplished it in that length. Notice these figures.
It is thought that, originally the pyramid was 480.6 feet tall, each base side was 755.9 feet long, the mass weight of it estimated at 5.9 million tons and with an estimated 2.3 million blocks of stone. Now, based on those figures, in order to construct this thing in 20 years, it would have meant installing 800 tons of stone per day, every day. Or based on the number of stones, it would have taken moving into place, 12 of these huge stones every hour, 24 hours per day for the twenty year. Now see how these stones were acquired:
The Great Pyramid consists of an estimated 2.3 million limestone blocks with most believed to have been transported from nearby quarries. The Tura limestone used for the casing was quarried across the river. The largest granite stones in the pyramid, found in the "King's" chamber, weigh 25 to 80 tonnes and were transported from Aswan, more than 500 miles away. Traditionally, ancient Egyptians cut stone blocks by hammering wooden wedges into the stone which were then soaked with water. As the water was absorbed, the wedges expanded, causing the rock to crack. Once they were cut, they were carried by boat either up or down the Nile River to the pyramid. It is estimated that 5.5 million tons of limestone, 8,000 tons of granite (imported from Aswan), and 500,000 tons of mortar were used in the construction of the Great Pyramid. (Wikipedia)
The really weird part of this entire phenomenon is that there is no way of knowing what individual had it built, or for whom it was built, and what happened that it was unused. A number of historians feel that it was built by and for pharaoh Khufu. Perhaps the reason they have chosen him is because there is so little known of him, so by the process of elimination, he was left. But even that does not explain why it was never used, by him or anyone else.
There are other amazing facts about this pyramid. The astounding evidence of engineering and skill in precision by the builders in those ancient years, which cannot be duplicated today with all the education and precision instruments and heavy construction equipment.
The massive weight of this structure would have sunken into virtually any surface of the earth...EXCEPT where it is located. It is built on a virtual mountainous bedrock of stone.
And another amazing fact:
All four sides of the Pyramid are very slightly and evenly bowed in, or concave. This effect, which cannot be detected by looking at the Pyramid from the ground, was discovered around 1940 by a pilot taking aerial photos to check certain measurements. As measured by today's laser instruments, all of these perfectly cut and intentionally bowed stone blocks duplicate exactly the curvature of the earth. The radius of this bow is equal to the radius of the Earth. This radius of curvature is what Newton had long been seeking. (The Great Pryamid-Europa.com)
Clearly, whoever built the Pyramid had access to information beyond that which earthlings possessed at the time, at least earthlings as we know them. Now, one can argue that we were visited by scientifically advanced beings from outer space who taught us their technology. That is possible from the evidence presented, perhaps even likely. If so, these advanced beings had the paramount goal of leaving behind a message that would endure for eons. (Ibid)
The pyramid sits right on the longest latitude line and the longest longitude line with land above sea level. It is on the border when Egypt was divided into a northern and southern kingdom and in the midst when they united.
“In that day shall there be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the LORD” (Isaiah: 19:19).
