Now that more tidbits of information become available in the Joran van der Sloot case involving  the murder of Stephany Flores of Peru, myriad questions and personal opinions arise. Self styled "Sherlock Holmes wannabes" are rampant across the internet.

The New York Daily News ran an article stating that Natalee Holloway's father is encouraging van der Sloot to keep talking now that he has confessed to the murder of Flores in his room of the Tac Hotel in Peru. He feels that Joran might include some answers to Natalee's disappearance. This is unlikely though because there is only a 35 year maximum sentence for murder in Peru and if he gave away any thing that might convict him in the Holloway case, he might be extradited to Aruba for trial there, without being released from his Peru sentence.

Another article in the San Francisco Chronicle asks, what could  Stephany Flores have seen on his laptop computer which would have been worth killing her? A very good question. It is highly unlikely that he would simply become enraged by a simple breach of privacy if there was no reason that it might do him harm in some way.

Enter here the theory of Joran's latest criminal effort, that of extortion of the Holloway family to the tune of one-quarter million dollars. This would be in exchange for telling what actually happened to Natalee and give the location of her body. Bo Dietl, a private investigator was asked to get involved and to go to Aruba, however, the FBI asked him not to go, that they would handle it themselves. Here is a quote he made to Greta Van Susteren of Fox News:

Wherever it was, he made statements incriminating that he pushed her down, she hit her head, he got his dad, they buried her. He was going to tell her where it was. He wanted a quarter of a million dollars.

So the agreement was give him $25,000 up front, $10,000 cash given to him, and this was all videotaped with all his statements, and $15,000 was wire transferred. This way we have him on wire transfer of money on extortion. You have extortion and wire transfer.

Now in view of that situation, the writer of the S.F. Chronicle, Zennie Abraham‘s, article concludes that there must have been information in his laptop computer which would have been incriminating either in the murder of Natalee or in the extortion of it. A somewhat compelling argument. If this is true, is the computer now in the hands of the Peru police? Or, did he dispose of it? Questions to be on the lookout for answers. Read article.

Another thought from Dr. Dale Archer, a contributor for Fox News in his article, "Did van der Sloot kill for fame?"  Dr. Archer mentions the fact that van der Sloot has already confessed to killing Natalee Holloway three times and then attempted recently to extort money from the Holloway family, acknowledging that he knew what happened and where she was. Whether or not any of those confessions were true (They could not all be, because they differ), it brought him instant fame and notoriety. It does appear that he relishes in publicity. Dr. Archer seems to also think this. Read article.

One last blockbuster!  An article by Bridgette  P. Victoire on LezGetReal.com, Ms. Victoire writes that ABC news reports that Stephany Flores was openly lesbian. She reportedly was struggling to balance her sexuality against her parents strong disapproval. This information supposedly comes from one of Flores girlfriends, Stephanie Jimenez who now resides in Florida. This could throw a completely new outlook on the situation. The autopsy results revealed that she had not had sexual intercourse. It showed that she was not drunken on alcohol to the extent she could not have fought back if assaulted. Given those statistics, why would she have gone to the hotel room with van der Sloot?  Or, if she rejected his advances, would he have killed her because of it?
Stephanie Jimenez, the ex girlfriend stated further that Flores was depressed lately and spending a lot of money at the casinos. Here is a quote from her taken from the article.

"She knew something bad was going to happen to her regarding gambling, regarding this environment. I mean, this guy appeared out of nowhere. They went to a hotel, and I can't believe this. She wouldn't do that, she wouldn't do that just for fun. She was afraid of something like this happening."

There are a number of implications here which leave unanswered questions. There must have been some reason for their going to the hotel room, other than sex. Or, if she thought this might help her overcome her lesbian feelings but then could not go through with it, why would this take some four hours to resolve? Read article

One can only hope that the truth will prevail and will be furnished to a highly curious world public. Sleep well.

Good research. Thanks for the under reported story. It already has my wife's interest. Topical to boot.

Thank you Christofer, for your reading and comment. I'm eager to see just what plays out in this thing. I'm at a loss as to just what caused this to happen. Was the motive, robbery, rape, or as he said, a rage over her prying into his private affairs?
