Global Warming Cooling While Global Warming War Heats Up Big Time

Only the Good Lord knows what the final outcome of the global warming debate will be, but in the meantime, fireworks are flying. Proponents of the farce are becoming hot under the collar and yelling "foul". Al Gore has taken up preaching with a "holier than thou" approach. You can tell already he is not going to relinquish his half-prize from the Nobel people as Donald Trump urges.
"It would be an enormous relief if the recent attacks on the science of global warming actually indicated that we do not face an unimaginable calamity requiring large-scale, preventive measures to protect human civilization as we know it."
If it were such a relief, he would surely be looking for the truth rather than just going forward with his doctrine which was largely based on lies. He even admitted that a couple of mistakes were made, referring to the erroneous reports that the Himalayan glaciers would be totally melted by 2035, and the Netherlands were 50% below sea level now. A couple of mistakes?? There have been a massive number of mistakes, enough that one high ranking official has quit his job and another admits there has been no significant warming of the atmosphere in the past 15 years! And those two "mistakes" weren't accidental. They were knowingly published without any confirmation whatsoever.
Recently when a hacker (or hackers) was able to extract thousands of email files dating back for some 30 years, it was found that many claims had been exaggerated, and when some of their own objected they were forced to keep their mouths shut. Many "facts" were unconfirmed hearsays and on and on. Here is what one columnist for the UK Guardian lamented:
"It's no use pretending that this isn't a major blow. The emails extracted by a hacker from the climactic research unit at the University of East Anglia could scarcely be more damaging...I'm dismayed and deeply shaken by them...I was too trusting of some of those who provided the evidence I championed. I would have been a better journalist if I had investigated their claims more closely" (George Monbiot, columnist, The Guardian)
In the mind of this author, I believe that remark came from one honest fellow. He had accepted the un-fact that there was a "consensus" of leading scientists that all the data being distributed was factual and that Al Gore's doomsday rhetoric was true. If only Gore and those elite of the U.N. would be so honest. The difference is, they are in on the scam.
Things are now heating up in Washington. Senator James Inhofe of Oklahoma, a ranking member of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, according to the Guardian's sub-headlines to an article, " James Inhofe calls for criminal investigation of climate scientists as senators prepare proposal that would ditch cap and trade."
Inhofe has 17 scientists names, some of which are from the U.S. and some from Britain, which have been involved in the climate change work and also in the present scandal for which he is asking for a criminal investigation to determine if there were any laws broken. He says there appears to have been manipulation of data to deceive which he feels is definitely illegal. The report by the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works is available online for review. Below are the scientists under consideration of investigation.
Raymond Bradley, professor in the Department of Geosciences and Director of the Climate System Research Center at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Served as Contributing Author in both the IPCC Third and Second Assessment Reports
Keith Briffa, Deputy Director of the Climate Research Unit , University of East Anglia, UK. Served as a Lead Author for the IPCC Fourth Assessment Report and a Contributing Author of The IPCC Third Assessment Report.
Timothy Carter, Research Director at the Finnish Environment Institute, Helsinki, Finland. Served as an Expert Reviewer of the IPCC Fourth Assessment Report. Lead Author and Reviewer of the IPCC Third Assessment Report, and Convening Lead Author for the IPCC Second Assessment Report.

Also was a Contributing Author in both the IPCC Third and IPCC Second Assessment Reports. In early December of 2009, Professor Jones stepped down as Director of CRU pending an independent review of his actions.

Dr. Benjamin Santer, Research Scientist for the Program for Climate Model Diagnosis and Intercomparison at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Served in various Author positions in the Forth, Third and Second IPCC Assessment Reports, also as various Author positions of the USCCP's 2006 Temperature Trends in the Lower Atmosphere report and the USGCRP's 2009 Global Climate Change Impacts in the United States report..
Gavin Schmidt, NASA's Goddard Institute. Served as Contributing Author and Expert Reviewer of the IPCC Fourth Assessment Report.
Dr. Stephen Schneider, Melvin and Joan Lane Professor for Interdisciplinary Environmental Studies, Professor of Biological Sciences, Professor (by courtesy) of Civil and Environmental Engineering and a Senior Fellow in the Woods Institute for the Environment at Stanford University. Served as Contributing Author for the Fourth and Third IPCC Assessment Reports as well as a Lead Author and Contributing Author for the Second IPCC Assessment Report. He was also a Convening Lead Author and Contributing Author of USCCSP's 2006 Temperature Trends in the Lower Atmosphere report.
These 17 Scientists are under question as to whether or not any laws were broken by them and therefore are the target of a proposed investigation if Senator Inhofe is able to create such. The Senator is under fire, not only from these people, but many others involved in pushing the human-caused global warming agenda. He has been accused of McCarthyism, witch hunting and so on. But I hope the good Senator can bring this to a head. Much time and money have already been wasted towards this nonsense. And if the U.N. has their way, there will be many billions more. I agree with you, but the media and liberals consider it a no good. Thanks for reading and commenting, Stephen
