If you remember, the House of Representatives passed their current version of the bill by only five votes. Three additional votes against it would have killed it. And this included one Republican, Senator Joe Cao from Louisiana sold his vote after meeting with President Obama several times.
Now, there are eleven of those Democrats who voted for it, and Senator Cao, say they will not vote for the Senate bill as it now stands. There were 39 Democrats who voted against their original bill, but Alabama's Parker Griffith has since defected to the Republican party. So, this brings a dilemma that will mean a lot of arm twisting and/or payoffs with taxpayer monies. They must convince at least ten people to change their vote. They can afford to come up two votes shorter than before, but not three!
You may rest assured all who voted for the original but now have changed their mind, have never been put under pressure such as they are in store for at this time. It is imperative that the constituents of these Representatives contact them very quickly to let them know where you stand on this bill. After a few days of waterboarding, it may be too late to stop them. I list these names below with their telephone numbers so you can call their office soon.

Let these gentlemen know that you appreciate their stand and encourage them not to allow the administration's pressure to sway them. They need your input in order to hold up under the threats and promises.

The Republicans have proven that they can't be trusted in negotiations with their moronic accusations. (The Dems want to kill old people? Obama wants to destroy America? Coming to protest with guns is a GOOD thing? Come on, you're smarter than that, right?) I think the Dems are doing the only reasonable thing by locking the Republicans out of the negotiations.I would encourage all readers of this article to use this list to call their representatives and encourage them to continue to lock the Republicans out, vote against the special interests and for the people. We need health care reform no matter what the Republicans say!
