I am now old. If I were forty or fifty years younger, I would set my heart upon visiting Nepal. Have you ever looked at anything and was so filled with envy that you could hardly stand it? Scenes that were breathtaking, people whose beauty is simply overwhelming. I don't mean sexy starlet looking material, just beauty.
I have corresponded with a young gospel preacher from Nepal for the past few years and he has sent me photos. I have also looked at as many pages on Nepal as I could Google up. Photos from there are fantastic. It is as if you are looking into a fantasy world or something. Their market places, their alleys and everywhere you see a snapshot, are colorful and beautiful. The mountains of the nation are gorgeous.
I urge all who love beauty to visit this website slideshow with 56 beautiful pictures. It goes through them automatically about every 3-5 seconds, but has a "pause button that you can stop it on any extraordinary view that you would like to examine. If your computer has a page zoom feature, you might want to raise it up to 125-150%.There are numerous photos available via Google. I have one that I've had for some time which I showed in another article, and I love it, that is one of the cutest pictures I have seen in my entire life. Two beautiful children and two, just as beautiful, little goats. I cherish this picture.

Top-level comments on this article: (6 total)Great article, Joel. You certainly can make a place seem like somewhere that I would love to go. When my books reach their first million sale, I may get to take a vacation somewhere like Nepal. Thanks for sharing.Sandra
Yes, the country is beautiful...the shots of Trisuali River and Fishtail Peak are wonderful. Sadly, the poverty, filth and neglect seen in the cities reminds me of the effects to a nation that rejects God.Sue
Dear Sue,I believe in God. God wont treat people badly just because they dont believe him, knowingly or unknowingly. For me, God is not like some authoritarian dictator punishing his subject for not preaching him.poverty arises from various factors. but the great thing is people from nepal are much more happier than many 'rich' people from western world. what to do with wealth if it cant make you happy?God bless everybody!
I'm from Nepal n u r a great person for Nepali people.thank u.Thank You, for reading and commenting. I wish it were possible that I coune there and visit you. But it is not.Joel
You are making me proud..A Happy Nepali
This page was a surprise Joel. I am in regular receipt of your emails. I have been to Nepal and enjoyed meeting the people, experiencing their culture, trekking etc. I hope to be back next April to trek to Everest base camp. Don't let age stop you - I am 70. Can you put me in touch with our brethren there?Incidently, I have never seen "filth" there, ineither the streets, homes or stores. The streets in the cities there are cleaner than most in USA or U.K. and the people alot nicer. Thanks for the comment. I have lost email contact with the young preacher there. But I have his mailing address, if still correct. If you will direct a private message to me so I can email it to you, I will.
