Is Obama's Camp Withholding Evidence?

As John Kerry's persistent refusal to release his military records during his 2004 campaign in order to refute (or confirm) the Swift boat veterans accusations against him, it seems that Barack Obama is faced with the same type dilemma. The majority of the public are unaware of much that has been going on yet it is completely ignored by the mainstream media.
During the primaries campaigns, Some of Hillary's supporters began investigating Obama strongly and widely. During all of this, much of what is now being spoken of as "negative" campaigning from the Republicans against Obama, was uncovered. It is of deep interest, and concern, that both presidential candidates have been accused of being ineligible for the presidency due to their questionable citizenship. Upon the request for proofs of his birth record, McCain cooperated and furnished any documents requested. His case was resolved:
Judge William Alsup of Federal District Court ruled late Tuesday that the law at the time of Mr. McCain's birth automatically granted citizenship to offspring of American citizens.
Mr. McCain's parents were both citizens when he was born on Aug. 29, 1936, in the Panama Canal Zone, an American territory where his father was stationed with the Navy (New York Times September 18, 2008)
However, a Pennsylvania law firm, Philip J. Berg and Associates, after amassing a considerable amount of evidence, filed a lawsuit against Obama and the Democratic National Committee requesting they furnish proofs of Obama's birth in Hawaii, and/or that he did not relinquish his U.S. citizenship when he became a citizen of Indonesia, or that he signed a pledge of allegiance upon his re-entry into the U.S. and more. Attorney Berg is not a conservative, he is a Democrat and does not support John McCain. He is a former assistant Attorney General for the state of Pennsylvania and several more notable credentials. He filed his lawsuit on September 15, 2008, and according to Berg, the subjects of the suit had 30 days to file a response and failed to do so. This, according to him constitutes "admission" that the assertions are factual. He lists 56 assertions made against Obama and 27 such assertions against the Democratic National Committee. Following are only a few of Obamas.
1. I was born in Kenya.
2. I am a Kenya "natural born" citizen.
3. My foreign birth was registered in the State of Hawaii.
4. My father, Barrack Hussein Obama, Sr. admitted Paternity of me.
5. My mother gave birth to me in Mombosa, Kenya.
6. My mother's maiden name is Stanley Ann Dunham a/k/a Ann Dunham.
7. The COLB [Certification of Live Birth] posted on the website "Fightthesmears.com" is a forgery.
8. I was adopted by a Foreign Citizen.
9. I was adopted by Lolo Soetoro, M.A. a citizen of Indonesia.
10. I was not born in Hawaii.
11. I was not born at the Queens Medical Center in Hawaii.
12. I was not born at Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children in Hawaii.
13. I was not born in a Hospital in Hawaii.
14. I am a citizen of Indonesia.
15. I never took the "Oath of Allegiance" to regain my U.S. Citizenship
Without any attempt to infer that any of the assertions made by Berg are true, or false, I can say this that both Obama and the DNC have acted very foolishly to avoid resolving these issues once and for all. If they are false, then fine, but if they cannot prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that they are false, then we are headed for a constitutional crisis of enormous magnitude.
And, if you track down the facts which have brought Democrat Berg to take this action, you'll see that he has some very damning evidence. Again, I am presenting what I have read here, not that I am saying any are true. But here is one thing, amid many more, which has been claimed. Obama's grandmother, (paternal) and sisters by his father's first wife, emphatically assert that they were present when he was born in a hospital at Mombosa, Kenya. Barack Obama has reportedly gone to Hawaii to be with his grandmother who has been hospitalized. Some reports state that she has now been released from the hospital and they suspect that Obama has also gone to try and establish some type of proof of his early documents.
This presidential campaign has turned into the biggest mess I have ever known. I wrote an article In January of 2008 (# 294017) when I suggested that the Democrats had the opportunity to walk away with the presidency this year but have consistently chosen candidates who have little chance of winning. Democrats outnumber the Republicans. Democrats are masters of denigrating their opponents and have done so with President Bush until they had the best chance ever to take over the White House. I believe they have blown it again.

Addendum: A number of people are stating that Obama has presented his birth certificate. I would like to address the reason attorney Philip Berg contends that this is not a bonafide Birth Certificate. First, look and you will see that the certificate number is blacked out. Why? Berg says and has evidence to prove, that Obama's mother was in Kenya when he was born but flew back to the states as soon as possible and filed his birth. The possibility of the certificate number being a later number than those others who were born on his birthdate would be a dead giveaway. It may not resolve Philip Berg's lawsuit filed in the US Supreme Court however, since he also claims that Obama's parents had to rescind that citizenship in exchange for an Indonesian one in order to enroll him in school there. Then he questions whether or not he renewed his citizenship when he returned.

However, regardless of what is or isn't a resignation now would throw the race and this nation into major turmoil and I do not see that emerging as a real possibilty. I know they need not attack you but and that but is significant, you have raised some serious questions that many in my opinion will not take as just reporting facts as presented in other media. Now what is really troubling is the fact that this information is ignored by no response, or something such as saying they will not dignify it with a response. Both parties, the African Press International and the law firm of Philip Berg have promised that the tape (or tapes) by Michelle Obama and the courts decision on the Barack Obama case will be forthcoming very shortly. He was elected by the people and the people should have at least respected that.Citizens in eight states have filed lawsuits in their state courts for the same reason Berg filed his in federal court. With all that has happened with respect to trying to stop Christians from speaking out, I really shutter to think what two more activist judges on the Supreme Court, plus Harry Reid and Nancy heading a filibuster proof majority in congress will do. Joel,Just checking the updated information on Snopes dot com which is the foremost authority on internet rumors. There won't be anything hitting any fans. The suit was dismissed as "too vague and too attenuated" and well as "frivolous and not worthy of discussion" more of the judges remarks can be seen at snopes dot com/politics/obama/birthcertificate.asp. Snopes also has information about the supposed "inconsistencies" on the birth certificate.I do know that when I was born in rural Pennsylvania in the 60's, my birth certificate did not have an official state seal and had other oddities about it. That was due to the fact that birth certificates did not become standardized until the 70's and beyond.I am not saying these things as an Obama supporter. Just one who is concerned at how quickly Christians have latched onto rumors in this election season and spread them to others "just in case". It feels very much like the witch hunts in Salem. We must be careful to keep out personal likes and dislikes out of these discussions.
