The Cool Down In The Climate Change Debate

Although few have changed their approach to the problem of climate change, many have eased off on their rabid diatribes. There are multiple reasons for that, one of the main ones is the discovery of some willfully spread bogus information and manipulated data. One of the worst offenders in this respect is the United Nations. There are known to be those in the U.N. as well as outside of that organization who are striving to form a world government. I have read a number of articles on that subject, but I come away bewildered. I cannot conclude who those are that push this agenda, nor can I conclude just how their plan is to establish it. But very likely it will be done little by little. If they can form a world committee to fight global warming, that will be one step. If they can get international highways built in various countries, that will be another step. The very thought of it frightens me.

Those scientists who have argued against the human cause of our present global warming, have contended for some time now that the solar activity has always been the factor which causes our global warming and cooling periods. They have evidence to prove that and due to the past few years, there has been strong evidence that the warming trend was reversing. They now believe that we are about to enter (or perhaps are now entering) a global cooling phase. Such changes are very slow, the ups and downs usually take several hundred years.

The atmospheric temperature today (2008) which is driving Al Gore nuts is far less than it was 1000 years ago. Do you know why Greenland is called Greenland? Read this:

"How did a glacier-covered island get the name Greenland? In Norse legends written in the 12th century and later, it is told that Eric the Red explored the southeast and southwest coasts of Greenland in a.d. 983-986 and gave the country its name because people would be more likely to go there if it had an attractive name. Greenland was warmer in the tenth century than it is now. There were many islands teeming with birds off its western coast; the sea was excellent for fishing; and the coast of Greenland itself had many fjords where anchorage was good. At the head of the fjords there were enormous meadows full of grass, willows, junipers, birch, and wild berries. Thus Greenland actually deserved its name." (Greenland-Bartleby.com)

Those who profess that our carbon emissions are the prime reason for our current slight elevation in temperatures would like to ignore the fact that it was much warmer in 1200-1300 a.d. than it is now. And in fact, they make adjustments to their findings to prove it. Please visit the article linked here to see the deceptive chart usage by the U.N. Click Here

Not only that, the U.N. showed two graphs, one showing that carbon dioxide ended the last four "ice ages", one chart showing the temperature rise and one showing the rise in carbon dioxide. However, when those two graphs were superimposed accurately, it showed that the carbon dioxide rise came following the temperature rise!

Hey Joel, very good article. A nice slice of the global warming pie. I'd like to point out how not much has been said about this fictitious phenomenon lately. Maybe cause it's been so damn cold! What gets me ( I've actually done this with about a dozen people) the ones spouting off about "global warming" can't even find China or India on a map. And that's where they need to go if they really want to do some good for the planet. Oh...wait a minute, you can't complain there, I forgot. And to all those that think using pig tail lights, and un-plugging our microwaves at night will make a difference ....General electric sends their thanks.

Thanks Michael, I appreciate your comment. If it were not so serious, it would be amusing how those who are so convinced of this human-made global warming, ignore the facts in front of their face. This same thing has happened before, the CO2 has always risen after the rise of the temperature, not before. I just hope that an acorn doesn't fall on a few heads. We will surely have a world panic.

Great article Joel. Its a big business, so they manipulate the data to keep the money flowing. However their gig is about up. The last twelve months saw a record drop in global temperature. Here is a unique concept instead of man, the earths temperature may be controlled by of all things , the sun.

Thanks for the comment, James. I certainly hope to see the temperature continue to drop so the know-it-all's can try to get people to forget they ever said anything. Maybe they will rescind Al Gore's share of the Nobel award. Naaa, they'll let him and Yasser remain their laureates. And thanks for joining my fan club.
