The Final Judgement Day Scenario…What to Expect

"Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead." (Acts:17:31)
But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; Who will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: (Romans 2:5-10)
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. (2 Peter 3:10)
At this point, there will be absolutely nothing of a physical nature left. Do you think that even the elements can melt with fervent heat, yet your physical body can survive? The only thing left will be spirit. I'm not saying this just off the top of my head. It is truth. We have scriptural confirmation of it.
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. (1 Corinthians 15:50-53)
But anyway, I have no idea how we will be manifested. But it is a certainty that we will appear somehow in a spiritual body. Yes body, but not of physical material. Here is the scripture for that:
It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. (1 Corinthians 15:44)
I feel that it is reasonable conjecture that everything may appear in mind's eye as that of physical. But it will not be physical. Try to think of every sensation you have in the flesh…cold, hot, pain, taste, vision, hearing, and on and on. Those sensations will not be present in the spirit because they are all physical attributes. We will not see with physical reflections of light into our physical eyes. Yet, we are told that God will be our light and I am confident that He will make a way for us to have the seeing sensations of some type of manifestations of other spirits. Things may appear in almost the same way that physical items do.
Regardless of how our body and our perception will be in the spirit, we will still have to face God on the day of judgement. I have strong doubts however, that it will be as a courtroom with each person waiting their turn to hear one of the two (or similar) phrases which will be made…"Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord." or "Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:"
We will indeed hear one of the two just rewards for those things we have done in the flesh, whether they be good or bad. But it is inconceivable to me that perhaps 20 to 30 billions of people will each hear it one at a time. God is capable even at this time to know every thought and intent of our hearts and He is certainly able to speak those things to us individually, all at one time. There will be no cross examination. No chance to change the verdict, although some will try. "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." (Matthew 7:22)
Sentencing will be swift, sure and just. Those who have striven for the mastery and dedicated their lives to the almighty God will enter into eternity with total joy and "so shall we ever be with the Lord".
But those who have lived their lives fulfilling their physical lusts and who have not obeyed the Lord, will be cast into everlasting torment. Our opportunity to choose our destiny for eternity will be over and closed. There is no biblical evidence that there will be any reprieve or shortened sentence. There will be no thousand year reign and another chance, no seven years of tribulation, but an eternity of weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Stop and consider a moment. Do you recall the awesome sights, as when the twin towers came down? The empty nervous feeling from knowing that many were dying at that moment. Or the same type feeling when The Challenger exploded shortly after takeoff in1998. Try to think and compare the awesome and fearful day when the entire universe explodes and disappears with a loud noise and all mankind comes face to face with God. The almighty and eternal God who is privy to our every thought.
It is naïve and fatal to go through life pretending that this will never happen. It will, and it will be soon, because our lives are so very short and that ends it for us, regardless of the time until that Final Judgement. Start preparing for this today. Time's a' wasting.

Top-level comments on this article: (3 total)Joel, How right you are. But the sad fact is that many, even those purported to be believers, don't realize or fully, actually believe the end is near. Many live as if life won't end. They seek power, status, prestige, money, fame, fortune at the cost of degrading and diminishing the spirit. God bless and may many listen to the truth and that which you give of it. JeffHi Jeff; Thanks for the complimentary remarks. Just before I received notice of your comment, I had placed another article which emphasizes those remarks you made above. The title of it is "Entering an Anti-Christian Era" if you care to read it. It is very frightening and discouraging to see the things that are developing here in the good old U.S. I've been meditating and writing on this and other subjects now for several years. And it just gets worse and worse. Thanks again for reading my article and commenting.
joel, in theory, i agree with alot of your views. I was hoping you would clarify exactly how the judgement scene would look on that awesome day. I was doing an internet search for it. I work in law and sometimes it seems that the Law of God will be shown to each man how they have broken them before they are cast into hell. This is how man's courtroom is set up. We must show in detail what laws they have broken and if they are indeed guilty of breaking them. The Word says the books will be open and our deeds will be known. Are there any books on this topic that you know of? Keep writing :) RandyThank you for reading and for your comment, Randy. To visualize things in the spiritual realm is a most difficult thing for physical beings. I have to admit that I find it overwhelming. I only try and reach conclusions based on what could, or would likely, occur. It does seem that the scriptures show that man will be told his errors, etc. But on the other hand, it strongly appears that there will be no recourse, no appeals. My on conclusion is that much of the description of the judgement itself is figurative so that one can compare it to our own system, however, I rather think that when we appear in the spirit, we will inherently know and understand all those things we have done right or wrong. I feel sure there are a number of books on this particular subject, but I am not aware of them. And, even if there are, it will of necessity be some man's conjecture, since none have been exposed to life in the spirit.
thanks joel for a speedy reply. the other comment was over a year old so i thought this might be lingering for months. ha. well, this topic is on my mind because a recent conversation with a 17 year old A+ student . I asked him during our normal conversation when discussing spiritual matters what he might reply to God at his judgment of why he should be allowed in heaven. The students reply was: "why not?". This mentality is the american mindset when the preaching and teaching of the LAW has been removed from pulpits and classrooms. They dont accept Christ attonement for they see no reason to need it. However, scripture teaches that a judgment based on the LAWS of God. For without law there is no sin. God Bless, Randy
